We use several names in our web site and mailing list postings. If we have confused you, let's sort it out:- "Hauntmaven"

Official name for the Halloween web site.
"Maven" (sometimes spelled "mavin") is a Yiddish word for "expert". We don't really claim to be experts, but we are glad to share whatever we do know.
- "Wolfstone"

This is the name that we use for our haunt.
"Wolfstone" is also an umbrella name that we sometimes use to encompass all of our web sites, some of which actually don't have to do with Halloween!
- "Wolfstone Group"

We often use "Wolfstone Group" to refer to the assorted people who come together for our yearly haunt,
and contribute to our various web sites.
- "Jack Of Shadows"

This is the "handle" used by Dennis for Halloween mailing lists.
The name "Jack Of Shadows" comes from a character in Roger Zelazny's book by the same name. Jack lives in a world that doesn't rotate as the Earth does. Instead, one hemisphere always faces the sun. In this region, science and technology rule. But the other hemisphere is eternally cold and dark. In this realm, science is a myth - magic rules and monsters prowl the land.
Jack Of Shadows lives in a world that is half magic and half technology.
