A Spookier Graveyard
This is a nice night shot of the front of our house.
You can see a little of everything: giant spider on the roof, graveyard and fence, spider web, and flying crank ghost.
To the far left, you can barely see a bit of orange in front of one of the tombstones.
This is the shirt worn by the pop-up skeleton who sat up to greet visitors.
This picture concentrates on the giant spider web and the flying crank ghost, as it rises.
Let's get up close and personal with the giant spider. Friendly-looking fellow, isn't she?
Whenever the spider rears up, she makes a horrendous sound!
The flying crank ghost is a subtle and beautiful animation, slowly floating up and down, as the arms wave in the air.
Here's a day shot of the graveyard. We built 100 feet of
fencing,
enough to protect the graveyard from the visitors.
But due to time constraints, we ended up with only a single row of tombstones, fully surrounded by fence.
The fence even looks good close up.
Details are very important.
Care to join us?
We have gotten as many compliments on our display as questions. Why do you go to such effort designing and building this stuff?
Why do you buy these things and spend so much time preparing them? What's in it for you?
This is what's in it for us.
This is a picture of actual candy abandoned by fleeing trick-or-treaters as they escaped the monstrous clutches of the giant spider.
And if you can't understand that, there's no way I can explain it to you.
We had a nice little Halloween party. Here is the buffet table.
Come and
meet our guests!
Let us not forget the true meaning of Halloween - paying our respects to our dearly beloved who have
passed on during the year.
Where did we get that delightfully
creepy fence?
Say "hello" to our
pop-up skeleton!
