Unlike compression fittings and flare fittings, which are intended for permanent connections, one touch fittings make it easy to disconnect, reconnect, and reconfigure things.
They are made by a variety of manufacturers in various styles and with different characteristics (e.g., you can get them with antistatic characteristics or made from stainless steel).

Here are a couple of one touch fittings in two sizes.
Some manufacturers use a color code on the plastic ring to indicate size of the tubing or other characteristics.
Once the one touch fitting is screwed into your gadget,
you can make a connection by just pushing a piece of plastic tubing firmly into the fitting.
Done!
After the tubing is pushed all the way in, the fitting holds it securely against minor tugs.
It is also easy to undo the connection:
Tips:
Do not cut tubing this way! You are likely to get a crimp on the cut end of the tube!
