Overview
We spotted this nice creepy statue at Michael's inAugust 2007.
They actually had three different styles.
We thought that is would be more creepy if the eyes moved back and forth randomly.
Here's how it works:
- The statue is hollow cast resin.
- The eyes are cut out and replaced with spherical platic eyeballs.
- The eyeballs are mounted on a pivot so they can turn right and left.
- A linkage is attached to the back of the eyeballs, allowing them to pivot together as the linkage is moved.
- A
RC servo
is attached to the linkage.
- A
controller
operates the servo.
It is programmed to randomly move the eyes back and forth.
This is a view of the mechanism, looking down into the top of the head.
