It seems to be a pretty good choice, but it appears that the link has changed. Try: Most fishing lines glow under BL, but this one does not. -Chuck- > > Just found some great line for invisibly hanging props. This is a type of braided line. I used it on a FCG this year and didnt get a single break !!!! Keeping mind the head and body of my FCG was close to 15lbs not including the arms and wet cheese cloth. There is no stretch factor as well that mono is known for. The Smoke color didnt show up under Black light, and during high light, daytime the "line" is ubseen @ 10 feet. I used the recomended motor and had no problems, period. The effect was more than I could have hoped for. This stuff is invisable I have used it at the Firehouse for a practical jokes as well and it cant be seen.......... - - - - - Subject: Re: Hall: Seance / party ideas From: Date: Wed, 4 Oct 2000 09:57:00 EDT Invisible thread is actually two poly fibers stripped from a yarn-like string. It is very strong and not detectable at all...even close up! One = piece of the thread with all fibers will last a long time. Try local = magic shops and ask for "invisible thread." I am checking local fabric shops to = see if it can be found there. There must be an inexpensive source for = this stuff somewhere. There are lots of uses for this = stuff...levitation...moving objects....etc. It is great. You can even make an object fly around your = body and that really baffles people! Attach the thread to your belt, loop = it up over your ear and fling the object (like a playing card) and it will = fly around your body and come back to you. - - - - - Subject: Re: Hall: Invisible Thread Help! From: Date: Sat, 7 Oct 2000 17:59:02 EDT There are two types of invisible thread. The really invisible stuff that you can use close up on someone is taken = from strands of a larger thread. The stuff sells for a fortune at magic shops = or you can go to fabric stores and get "extra black woolly nylon extra surger = thread." Take a thick strand...it's made of many fibers...seperate the fibers and use two of them. It takes time but you will have truely = invisible thread that is fairly strong. Or if you are not doing close up work, you = can buy Coats and CLarks transparent thread...get black. The serger thread is about $4.50 for a spool of 300 meters that will last = a lifetime. At magic store prices, that's about an $1800 spool! Snicker. - - - - -
